Things to do In Beaune
Beaune is considered to be the wine capital of Burgundy, and plays host to an important charity wine auction, which takes place every November. Beaune has a wealth of historical buildings and attractions to explore, with around half of the ancient ramparts, city walls and moat still surviving, and kept in good condition, visitors can get a feel for the historical importance of the city. Stroll through the old town to soak up the unique atmosphere and admire the many medieval and renaissance buildings, and visit the large food market that takes place every Saturday, to pick up local produce.
