Pretty 2 bedroom house on a private gated compound with communal pool.

A pretty Provençal style house in a secure gated development with lovely communal pool. The market town of Vaison La Romaine is a 10 minute walk away with it's Mardi market, pavement cafes, bars, restaurants and boutique shops. Historically the town is separated by a wonderful original Roman bridge. Crossing the bridge you will discover the enchanting medieval town, steeped in history with it's fascinating winding alleys. Climb to the top to the castle ruins and see views over the river and beyond. The Roman Amphitheatre and Roman remains of the original settlement have been beautifully restored and a tour is recommended! During the summer months there are concerts in the open air Amphitheatre.
The house provides a wonderful base for exploring the many Provençal villages on your doorstep and the opportunities for walking and cycling through the wonderful olive groves, lavender fields and vineyards are endless. The Provençal villages of Faucon, Puymeras, Crestet, Seguret and Sablet (to name just a few) are a short drive away. Avignon, Orange and the Ardeche are also within easy reach by car. There is an excellent Tourism Office in Vaison la Romaine.
The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped and furnished, including an electric hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge. On the ground floor there is a living/dining room and kitchenette along with a WC and utility storage. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds, along with a bathroom with bath, over-bath shower and sink unit.
Outside, the garden area is paved and fenced,with a gate, and is planted with climbing vines and shrubs - a perfect area for sunbathing, reading and eating al fresco. Garden furniture for your use includes a teak table and 4 chairs, a bistro table and 2 chairs and sun loungers. There is a private car parking area right next to the house. There is free wifi available within the compound. It is worth noting the communal pool is also gated, as is the main compound entrance.
