This very confortable house is situated in a beautifull landscape at the edge of the "Parc régional Périgord-Limousin", a green and hilly country with rivers where there are many opportunities for some lovely walks. It is also in a quiet corner of a little historical village which has a famous renaissance castle , a medieval abbey and very well known prehistoricl caves. It has also a good baker and a little supermarket and is close to many others villages and town of great touristic interest.
This traditional "Maison de Maître"has is own entrance and grounds,it has been tastfully renovated and furnished with antiques and has the atmosphere of a "maison de famille",which in fact it is as it has belonged to the same family for four generations.
From the entrance hall you can access :
The large and sunny living/dining room (9mx5,50) which has very old oak beams, a terracota floor and an open ancient fireplace. It provides ample comfortable seating where you can relax listening music on the CD player or enjoy English television (Sky satelite), or watch DVDs or look at the interesting selection of guide books of the region. Also available is an internet connection (Wifi access). The French doors open onto a large sunny terrace and south-west facing private gardens.
The kitchen can be accessed from both the living/dining room and the entrance hall, it is modern and fully equiped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas hob and electric oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and all the necessary equipment to cater for up four persons.
There is also a utilitary room which houses the boiler, water softner, washing machine and drier.
Upstairs there are:
Two large confortable and sunny bedrooms, one ensuite-double and one twin bedded with its own bathroom. Both bedrooms have panoramic wiews of the gardens and the magnificient countryside. They are beautifully furnished and the beds are of high standart quality.
There is a large, well maintained private garden and an alarmed 11X5m heated salt water swimming pool with roman steps and its own very private terrace in a secluded part of the garden where you can relax in the sun .
There is also a barbecue to dine alfresco on the terrace near the house.
There is parking space on the road along the property, also more parking can be found on the square more or less opposite the house.
