Situated in an elevated position, on the edge of a hilltop hamlet amongst
vineyards and delightful countryside, the house is 3 kms from a village with restaurant, bar, shop and boulangerie.

The large private south-facing Courtyard is equipped with dining table and chairs, reclining loungers and bbq. To one side is the original Bakehouse, the roof of which provides a shaded eating out area.

We have been awarded 3 Stars by Lot Tourisme (the highest for our type of property) following an Inspection.

Le Vert is the ideal peaceful location to enjoy a relaxing holiday in this beautiful region. Lots to see and do.

LA LOGE: The large open-plan living room has a fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with comfortable seating. The cast iron woodburning stove is an attractive feature for out-of-season lets. From the dining area, double french windows facing west, up across the field, let in the evening sun. Two bedrooms (double and twin) plus bathroom.

LA PETITE MAISON: Accessed by stone steps and terrace from the Courtyard. Double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Gorgeous living room with corner kitchen.

We are in the heart of Cahors wine country, just south of the River and close to the charming market towns of Prayssac, Montcuq and Puy l'Eveque. There is a local Market for each day of the week. Only 20 kms away is the ancient city of Cahors with its pavement cafes down the Boulevard and boat trips on the River.

For sightseers there is the picturesque village of St Cirq Lapopie, high above the River Lot, spectacular Rocamadour with its buildings clinging to the cliffside, Padirac's enormous caverns, Pech-Merle's superb cave paintings, the riverside villages along the Lot and Dordogne and the bastide towns of Monflanquin, Monpazier and Villereal. Many attractive local walks pass through Le Vert or close by, you can canoe on the Lot, bicycles can be hired locally, and swimmers and children can enjoy lakes with sandy beaches at Catus, Montcuq and Montaigu de Quercy.

Our nearest Airports are Bergerac (1 hr 25 mins) and Toulouse (1hr 40 mins).
