Sleeps 4/5 with terrace, barbecue, shares pool, rivers, boat etc

The cottage is in a courtyard tucked behind the other houses. To one side is an ancient dove-cot, on another is the old orangery and the flat where the owners live for most of the summer. It's next to an old barn and workshop. Though
less than half the size of the dower house, the cottage can sleep up to seven, though it's nicer with two, three, or four. It is very unsophisticated, and the difference in price reflects its relative size, comfort and standard of furnishing, as well as a certain lack of privacy. Though it has been modernised to an extent, it's still very basic, not much more than 'camping with a roof'. All the same, many people have enjoyed it a lot, and returned many times!

Ground Floor:
Kitchen/living room with wood burning stove, small gas cooker, fridge, stone sink. Also dining table and seating.

First floor:
Simple but pleasant double bedroom;
Bedroom with twin beds and single bed in alcove;
Large open plan landing with window, small comfortable seating area, CD player, a single bed, folding bed and a cot.
Salle d’eau with WC, shower and washbasin.

Just outside the cottage, in the courtyard, is a stone bench with a table and chairs, and it has a small, more private, enclosed stone terrace, with eating table and chairs. The barbecue, which is stored in the shelter behind the terrace, can be used in either area.

The cottage has access to all the estate, including the pool and the laundry room (with washing machine), but with the exception of the large lawn in front of the two big houses. (This restriction obviously doesn't apply when the cottage is booked, as often happens, with one of the other houses.)
