For parties up to 10 can be joined to La Chaumière which has a large living area incorporating corner kitchen, two bedrooms, 1 double,1 twin, shower room/WC. Both kitchens are fully equipped to a high standard including dishwashers. Separate terraces, overlooking swimming pool, with BBQs and garden furniture. Linen and house towels provided. Boulangerie 3km, supermarket 8km. Water park, golf, riding and quiet roads for cycling & walking. Sorry no pets.
Our large natural grounds, bounded by two streams, provide plenty of space for games ,find a shady spot to relax ,sit and read or at night to star gaze.
The swimming pool terrace is spacious and well furnished with sunloungers and chairs to sit and relax before or after your swim.
This area of Deux Sevres is undulating with some wooded areas and some small etangs .It is ideal for bird watching,cycling and wandering down country lanes. Nearby is a large lake with pedalloes,an open air swimming pool and a restaurant overlooking the lake. Nearer still is a very good restaurant within walking distance for lunch. Golf is 25 mins away, tennis 5 mins and horse riding is also within easy reach. For those seeking the sea, La Rochelle and the Vendee coast is about an hour and a half away, the Marais Poitevin ,a network of canals reclaimed from the sea can be explored by small boats or punts.
For spectacle seekers there is the internationally famous Futuroscope at Poitiers, and the Puy du Fou park at Pouzauges.
For historians there are the medieval towns of Parthenay, Bressuire and Niort within easy reach with their interesting streets and buildings.The wonderful towns of the Loire valley are ideally situated to visit chateaux or vineyards.

This is rural France, quiet and stress free, but there are also a large number of unusual places to visit and customs to observe, as well as a wide variety of wildlife.
Pescalis at Moncoutant is Europe's largest inland fishing village with 100 hectares of lakes and ponds. Facilities include: hire of equipment,lessons and a shop. Bicycles can also be hired here and there are walks around the lakes.
We will consider winter lets by arrangement, in either cottage, between November and March for those house hunting, writing books or just wanting to escape.
Poitiers, La Rochelle and Nantes airports are within one and a half hours travel.
