A charming 18th century Post House set in its own grounds midway between Perigueux and Angouleme in the Parc Naturel de Limousin/Perigord and close to the historic towns of Brantome and Bourdeilles. Nearby activities include walks, horseriding, canoeing, fishing, chateaux, caves etc. La Charrue has its own private swimming pool (10x5), kiddies play area with table tennis, boules court, pool table and mountain bikes. It also features the only public Lawn Bowls green in France, run by the Perigord Lawn Bowls Club (www.bowlsinfrance.com). La Charrue offers a choice of 3 gites attached to the main house sleeping 2-6 people each with ensuite shower/WC and fully fitted kitchen. Bed linen is provided. Addtional beds/cots can be added. There are also 3 B&B rooms sleeping 2, 3 and 4 available together with a campsite for up to 8 caravans with electric hook ups, modern shower block and toilets. Our onsite tea gardens and terrace restaurant provides food and drink throughout the day.
