An imaginative conversion of an ancient barn adjacent to the owner''s house forming self contained gite on first floor sleeping four people set in 2 acres of landscaped grounds approached by a private drive. The gite has it's own private lawned area with garden furniture and barbecue. It is in a tranquil elevated location offering magnificent views of the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside. Despite their private location the premises are about 2 km from the local market town of Boulogne sur Gesse. The town offers a full range of shops including supermarkets restaurants garages banks post office butchers bakers newspaper shop and tabac. Doctors dentists pharmacy and other medical facilities are also to be found in the town. Nearest large town is St Gaudens at 30 kms.
The gite is accessed by its own private external staircase leading up to the fist floor balcony with table and chairs and feature exposed beams . Comprising living area with sitting room and corner kitchen fully equipped with fridge gas cooker with grill dishwasher microwave french tv with dvd recorder radio/cd player. Living area has french doors overlooking private terrace and with magnificent views of the open countryside and Pyrenees. On the ground floor there is a laundry room comprising washing machine spin dryer sink iron and ironing board with an additional toilet and shower. Bedlinen is provided and is included in the cost of the hire. Towels can be hired for £10 per week. Poolside towels are not provided.
You have the use of the owners 12 x 6 metre pool with tiled terrace changing facilities and sun loungers . Subject to weather the pool is open from April to October. The gite has its own private garden and terrace with walnut trees providing shade for sitting out. Around the pool area and gite, the grounds are mainly laid to lawn and are ideal for sunbathing relaxing under a parasol and/or games. (A badminton set is provided along with other pool inflatables).
The immediate surrounding area offers rivers for fishing, lakes for swimming and water sports, horse riding and tennis all within a few minutes drive. The area is especially ideal for cycling and two adult cycles can be made available if required.
The Comminges region in South West France is becoming more and more popular with discerning holiday makers who wish to sample a taste of rural French life and its unique gastronomy. Specialities of the district are foie gras, cassoulet and magret de canard. Nightlife is limited (unless you travel to Toulouse but we have wildlife in abundance with a diverse variety of birds and animals visiting the garden on a daily basis.

Local places of interest within an easy drive are; Gorge de Save; Toulouse, Lourdes, Spain and the Pyrenees (walking/hiking)
