The 10 minute drive to Riberac descends through fields of sunflowers, maize, groves of walnut trees and orchards to the valley of the Dronne.

Riberac has supermarkets, wide range of shops and excellent Friday market. Range of restaurants within a short drive as well as horse riding, canoeing, tennis and golf. Pretty walks and bike rides along local lanes from the house. Local sightseeing includes the delightful village of Aubeterre, the castle of Bourdeilles and abbey at Brantome. A little further are the vineyards of St Emilion and Pomerol and the towns of Bergerac and Perigueux.
