Part of Gite complex with pool
Bel-Air has 5 individual gîtes and stands in 25 acres of unspoilt countryside in Poitou Charente, surrounded by farmland and vineyards and yet so close to the beaches of the Atlantic coast and towns we think this is the ideal location to suit everyone's idea of a perfect family holiday. This attractive gite is situated in the commune of Brie-sous-Mortagne close to Royan and the historic town of Saintes with it's fantasic pedestrianised shopping area. We are approximately 7km from the market town of Gemozac which has 2 supermarkets and a good variety of other shops for all daily needs. Gemozac has a large market every 3rd Friday in the month and a fish/meat and vegetable market Tuesday and Friday of each week. The same distance in the opposite direction you will find the old port of Mortagne with its quayside restaurants and lovely views across the Gironde.
The beautiful sandy atlantic beaches of Meschers and Royan are only a 20 minute drive away.
'Les Chenes 1 and 2". were formerly barns, which formed a major part of a large working farm. Les Chenes have been carefully restored and made into beautiful spacious gites. Les Chenes have become an important part of our small family holiday complex and retains all of its original rustic charm.
This lovely spacious one bedroom gite overlooks the courtyard, to the front and the fields and forest to the back. Sleeping accommodation consists of a spacious family bedroom, which has a double bed and bunk beds. The lounge has a double sofa bed.
Each room is very spacious, light and airy. It has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower( hair dryers are provided). In the lounge there is a hi-fi unit , a dvd player and video player.
The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, fridge, gas cooker and microwave.
There is a private patio with B.B.Q to relax over leisurely meals on those warm summer evenings. Les Chenes 1 can accommodate up to 4 people.
Other facilities at BEL AIR include : Swimming pool, trampoline, badminton, climbing frame and swings. Bicycles available free of charge, and a games room with a pool table, table tennis table, table football, dart board and a large selection of books and videos, Ps2( bring your favourite games)
Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
We are located close to the golf course at Royan. There is also Karting nearby. There are windsurfing schools at Royan.
