Our Gite is situated in the village of Castagnede, 7 km. from the Spa town of Salies de Bearn.
We have ample car parking, gardens and a shaded terrace having a chemine barbecue.
The lounge/diner/kitchenette is fully equipped with a "click-clack" sofa/bed for a third / fourth person(s).
Kichenette is equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer,washing machine and tea/coffee making facilities.
Lounge area has satellite English and French television.
The village of Castagnede has a highly rated restaurant which offers excellent food at very competitive prices.
2 km from Castagnede is the village of Carresse which has bars and a restaurant as well as a boulangerie, hair dressers and post office.
Salies de Bearn offers all amenities such as supermarkets, filling stations, bars, restaurants and a renound Thermal Spa.
Such cities as Bordeaux, Biarritz, Pau and Toulouse offer historic buildings and Chateaux, as do many other small towns within the area.
We are a wine growing area for such wines as Bearn and Juranson.
The area is ideal for many sporting and recreational activities including the following;

We are served by Biarritz, Pau & Lourds airports, being 3/4 to 1 hour away.

If travelling by road you can take a leisurely 2 day trip from any of the channel ports. The most relaxing being Portsmouth to either Normandy or Brittany.
Our nearest ferry port is Bilbao in Northern Spain, 3 hours drive away.
We are open from May until September at varying rates dependent on season.
Pets are accepted at a small additional charge.
Week-end bookings are accepted at "off peak" times.
