'LES GRANGES' is a unique location in the very heart of the beautiful DORDOGNE, within a few minutes walk of the picturesque riverside town of MONTIGNAC, world famous for the Lascaux caves.
There are four cottages in a peaceful semi-rural setting with a pool, just a short easy walk into the pretty town of Montignac where you will find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants to suit everybody. There are three boulangeries, a Post Office and a small supermarket just five minutes walk away and a twice weekly market across the river. No need to drive if you want a meal at a wide choice of restaurants and cafes. During the summer Montignac has a weekly village barbecue by the river and hosts a wonderful music festival culminating in a firework display on the banks of the River Vezere. There are often concerts and other cultural and fun events in the town and nearby villages.
We are centrally situated in the Perigord Noir; perfect for visiting Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Perigueux, Rocamadour etc and the many nearby caves, prehistoric sites, chateaux, gardens, fishing and swimming lakes and markets. Les Granges is an ideal base for canoeing, cycling and walking, with tennis courts, water parks, a small cinema, horese riding stables, golf courses, mini-golf and many children's activities all nearby.
There is a large secluded pool set in mature gardens and three acres of meadowland bordering the River Vezere. Plenty of space to relax and explore; a great outside environment for children. WIFI. Picnic and barbecue area. Table tennis table. Cot, high chair, etc available. 'Les Granges' is a former farm house with cottages tastefully restored in a semi-rural situation. The cottages are comfortable, clean and well equipped with their own terraced area. Suitable for couples, families or larger families or groups. We offer a discount for couples out of high season.
Fly/hire with low cost airlines to Limoges or Bergerac the closest airports, or Toulouse or Bordeaux. Airport pick-up can be arranged.
