This delightful cottage, only minutes from the services of a market town, is perfect for a peaceful – but convenient - rural break. Sleeping 5 and well-equipped throughout, it includes a restful family room with french doors opening onto a secluded garden with woodland beyond. The garden is large, secure and level – ideal for children and less mobile visitors with only one step to the front door. Unheated above ground pool from June to late summer for guests to enjoy. Relax on sun loungers beneath the wisteria on the veranda, or enjoy al fresco dining using the charcoal BBQ. This is how holidays are meant to be.

Short breaks (minimum of 3 nights) available outside of peak summer season. Outside of high season the property can be booked for extended periods at special rates suiting house hunters

Conveniently there is a Supermarket only 200 metres away which is open for extended hours 7 days a week

The market town of Montpon is only 15 minutes walk (or 20 mins following the riverside path) away boasting restaurants, cafes and bars. Fantastic local park and canoe centre (summer only) 5 minutes walk away (again with longer option to avoid the roads by following the river path) with an outdoor swim lake/beach and childrens playground.

Property is ideally located for touring the Northern Dordogne region - whether by foot, bike or car. Montpon is on the outskirts of the forest bordering the Gironde area, reputed for its churches, monasteries and local architecture

Easy trips include St Emilion's famous vinyards, Bordeaux (option to travel by direct train), Bergerac, Ste-Foye-Le-Grande (nearest Bastide town), Perigueux, Aubeterre's subterranean church, Chateau de Puyguilhem and Chateaux de Hautefort. Traditional French markets abound.
