The School Cottage holiday gite is tucked away in the garden of L'Ancienne Ecole next to the tiny 15th century chapel of St Demet.

The living area is bright and sunny with views from the south facing window across open fields to the sea. The well appointed kitchen has an electric fan oven with gas hob in a range of modern units and a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle etc. The downstairs is tiled throughout. The gite has a sofa, English TV and a DVD player. There is shared use of the laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and washing lines.
The large ground floor bedroom is very light with a large window overlooking the garden. It has a double bed, bedside cabinets, reading lights, a wardrobe unit and a chair. There is a good sized shower room with an enclosed tiled shower area, a WC and a hand basin with an illuminated vanity unit and shaving point. The upstairs is reached via a staircase and there is a separate sleeping area either side. There are three velux windows letting in lots of light. Each sleeping area has a single bed, bedside cabinet and reading lamp. There is a hanging rail and chest of drawers.

The sunny area outside the cottage is surrounded by flowers and has a table, chairs and Bar-B-Q for those lovely summer meals outdoors. The gite has its own private parking. To the rear of L'Ancienne Ecole is a shared swing, seesaw and washing line. Additionally we have a storage area for your own cycles or surfing equipment and for the less keen cyclists we offer 11 cycles for hire by the day or the week.
The coastal village of Penhors with its harbour and 14km of sandy beaches to the south has life guards on duty in the summer. The beaches are never crowded and are always clean and the sea unpolluted and crystal clear. The Breiz Armor hotel has an excellent restaurant specialising in local seafood as well as wonderful terraces with panoramic views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. There is a bar/creperie on the beach and another bar by the surf school. There is also a sand yatching school further along the beach.
Pouldreuzic is 2.5km where there are 2 bakers, a butcher, a newsagent, 2 small grocery shops, cash points and a Post Office. Plozevet is 8 minutes drive and has a good sized supermarket with a large fresh fish and seafood department. Every year in August Plozevet hosts a week long International festival of folk music and dance which draws people from many corners of the globe. During the summer months each community, village and town has a fest noz which is an evening of music, local dancing and supper. Many also host cultural festivals and all are well worth a visit.
