A 200 hundred year old stone built farmhouse within 20 acres of meadow and woodlands which has a host of original features and beams consisting of a well equiped kitchen and dinning area with an old oak dining table and antique furniture which leads onto a large lounge area with armchairs and settees and a large well stocked bookshelf, along the corridor are two carpeted double bedrooms with single and double beds in each room, two toilets and a large double shower. Washing machine, dish washer, microwave, barbeque are provided as is all bed linen, towels and tea towels, a substantial welcome pack is provided to help you relax when you arrive. cooking is by gas and electric. An outside dining and breakfast terrace with garden furniture is located next to the gite so you can dine under the sun or under the stars, ambiant lighting is provided for the terrace at night. The private solar heated swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas is in an elevated position to trap the sun till late evening. There are extensive wooded areas for you to wander at will with swing seats to sit and relax in the shade with a glass of wine to enjoy the panoramic views or to just read a book. Television is supplied with a good selection of videos and DVDs there is also WIFI available for your internet connection. Our local village which is a kilometer away has a small grocers shop for all your daily needs. Fresh vegetables can be bought from our local producers. Bikes, table tennis, canoes, basket ball, bar football, badminton, golf practice (when our hay has been cut), tennis raquets (tennis in village ) are all provided, horse riding is also nearby. Being next door to the Gironde the Lot et Garonne is also famous for fine wines and gastronomy, there are several restaurants of all levels within easy reach. St. Emilion is only a short drive away where you can sample some of the finest wines available along with locally produced Foi Gras. Our region is an historians paradise with numerous Engish and French Bastides dating back to the 100 years war, Eymet, Monsegure and Castillon counting among them. The historic chateau of Duras nearby is well worth a visit especially on a market day. Marmande is our nearest large town with supermarkets and all amenities and at ten kilometers is within easy reach.
