Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, Domaine La Castagne is ideally situated midway beteween Carcassonne and Toulouse( both accessible via low cost airlines).

This complex of four,family friendly gites, which are set in lovely grounds benefits from a secure south facing 11x 5m heated pool.

On site is a play area with swings, trampoline, ping-pong, petanque and badminton.Country walks and cycle rides are easily accessible from the property.

All amenities including weekly markets,tennis, horse riding,bathing lakes and water sports are within a 10-15 minute drive.Local shops and restaurants are just 7km away.
In addition there is plenty to explore locally; historic Cathar country with numerous chateaux and abbeys, the Canal du Midi,Languedoc vineyards and wine tasting,UNESCO world heritage site 'Carcassonne medieval cite' and many other attractions.
The Tour de France, Bastille day Fireworks and Carcassonne music festival take place in July and night markets throughout the summer.
For day trips, Mediterranean beaches and the Pyrenées are just over an hour away.

Each comfortable and well-equipped gite features an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, bathroom with shower and a private garden or terrace with BBQ.

Breakfast for the first morning and a first night meal can also be provided.

Corbières is a two-storey converted stable, which can accommodate up to 7 people plus a baby. It has an open-plan living room, a double bedroom, a family bedroom, a mezzanine bedroom area, a bathroom, a private garden and a sunbathing deck.

From Corbières' garden, French doors lead into an open-plan living room with a sitting area and a well-equipped kitchen/dining area.
The sitting area is furnished with a comfortable sofa and armchairs. A television (French TV), a DVD player and a CD/Radio are also provided.
Corbières has two large bedrooms - one downstairs and one upstairs. Downstairs is a double bedroom and the bathroom with a walk-in shower, a washbasin, a wall heater and a hairdryer. The separate toilet has an additional washbasin.
From the living room, stairs (with a stair gate) lead up to a mezzanine bedroom area and a family bedroom. The family bedroom is furnished with a double bed , a single bed and cot.The mezzanine bedroom area has two single beds.
The gîte’s private garden is equipped with table & chairs, parasol and a barbecue for outdoor dining.There is aso a decked area with comfortable loungers for relaxing and catching those rays!
From the garden, the views of the grounds and the countryside beyond are a delight.
Corbières Gîte is double-glazed throughout and has electric heating for the cooler months. There is room to park one car alongside the gîte, with additional parking in the car park, if required.

Linen, towels,pool towels and final clean are included. Each gite has a range of basic commodities and a welcome pack is provided.*
