Sans Souci is a detached period property situated in the Southern Vendee (parts of the house date back to the 18th century). The house has been lovingly restored to boast many original features. All rooms have recently been refurbished, including new furniture and new kitchen appliances. Although the house can accommodate up to 10 people, it is equally suitable for smaller groups.

The house boasts an idyllic sunny courtyard to the front of the property, and a large enclosed garden with south facing above ground swimming pool. The interior includes a large lounge with wood burning stove, hi-fi system and DVD player; a formal dining room with wood burning stove; fully fitted kitchen ( high chair available); utility room with washing machine and dishwasher; downstairs shower room with washbasin and WC. Three bedrooms; two bedrooms sleep 3 people and one bedroom sleeps 4 (a pine cot is also available for use in one of the bedrooms). Bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC. The house also has two large barns for secure off-street parking.

Sans Souci commands an impressive position within the heart of the typically French village of Mouilleron en Pareds. This pretty village has three bars, two of which serve food. One of the bars is situated in the village square with outside seating/dining, allowing you to soak up the local atmosphere. There is also a baker, pharmacy, general store, bank, and tourist information. Many rooms within the house have magnificent views of the village's Chateau and medieval church. The house is situated directly opposite the village's 'Lavoire' - many of our guests are amazed to still see the women of the village visiting the lavoire to do their washing - a tradition being preserved by these hardy ladies!

Sans Souci is within easy reach of the Vendee's renowned coastline which boasts fantastic sandy beaches and idyllic coastal villages. Puy Du Fou (www.puydufou.com), France's most popular visitor attraction after Euro Disney, is just 30 minutes drive from the house and is a must see for any visitors to this region.
