Chenevaux is located just outside the villages of St Pierre de Maille and Angles sur l'Anglin, where there are shops, cafes, restaurants and a ruined castle. Both villages are on beautiful rivers, the Gartempe and the Anglin. Angles sur l'Anglin is officially one of the most beautiful villages in France. The area is rural and unspoilt, with very little traffic making it ideal for cycling, walking, bird watching and simply relaxing!

Chenevaux is on a private, no through road, and is set in 7 acres of grounds incorporating the Farmhouse, the Gite a 10x4m fenced swimming pool, croquet lawn, 9 tee pitch and putt, table tennis and an art studio where the owner offers classes ( we live on site). The baker delivers nearly every day in time for a lovely breakfast of croissants or pain au chocolat!

The Farmhouse accommodation is all on the ground floor and we hope that you will find it a real home from home. All of the rooms are spacious and have high beamed ceilings ( about 3m ) and there are lots of windows so it is light and airy during the summer. The kitchen/morning room gets the morning sun and is lovely for breakfast with the french doors open. It is very well equipped with a 6 burner hob and large oven, plenty of dishes etc, a dishwasher and there are lots of cookery books to delve into if you want to experiment with new ingredients from the local markets!

The separate dining room leads on to the sitting room, which is dual aspect and also has french doors to the private farmhouse garden. In the sitting room there is English TV ( its big!) with all of the free to view channels, BBC/ITV/red button DVD player and books, toys & games. WIFI is available.

There are three bedrooms all with lovely comfortable beds. One bedroom is en-suite with shower, WC and hand-basin. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, washbasin & WC.

The large private garden has easy access to the 10x4m roman style fenced pool (permanent/in-ground) and to the croquet lawn. Sun loungers, hammocks, garden furniture, toys and games and a barbeque are all available.
