The apartment is situated in the ground floor of the owners’ house. Originally built in the 1880s beneath a 250 year old Corsican umbrella pine, the newly renovated property retains much of its original charm. Reached by its own entrance at the side of the house, the flat is approached through the garden where a generously sized terrace with table and chairs provides a tranquil environment for outdoor dining. The garden also has a barbeque, for outdoor cooking. The raised lawn is surrounded by prettily planted borders, stone walls, and offers views of the nearby hills. A narrow stone staircase gives access to our two and a half acre orchard of fruit trees and our guests are encouraged to explore this and the surrounding countryside, with all of the beautiful walks and stunning scenery that the area has to offer, as well as the pool, whichl is situated in a separate private garden, surrounded by lawns with sun loungers. The pool measures 10 x 4.5m and is about 1.45m deep - no shallow end. The pool is open from 4 June to 30 Sept and its use is shared (discretely!) with the owners. The apartment is entered through a half-glazed door which opens from the garden, giving access directly into the living room and kitchen/dining area. Comfortably furnished with soft seating, English TV, plenty of books, dining table and chairs and with a well equipped kitchen, the property provides an ideal home from home for one or two couples, or a family. The pretty double bedrooms are each furnished with a double bedstead, a wardrobe, and chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with shower and wash basin. Our home's thick stone walls mean that the apartment stays cool in the summer, and central heating keeps it cosy throughout the winter, making it an ideal year round rental.
