ACCOMMODATION:
Interior - sitting / dining room with long windows (with stunning views). The Sofa converts to extremely comfortable double bed; wood burner with lid great for baking local chestnuts, jacket potatoes in the Autumn through to Spring. Dining table & chairs. Well equipped kitchen also with stunning views. Large dining balcony; Bathroom,. 3 steps down to pretty double and twin bedrooms. The entrance to the apartment is on the same level as the garden and you have use of L'Elzet's private swimming pool 32ft x 16ft x 52in, which also looks over the breathtaking panoramic views.

Air-conditioning not required with 3ft thick walls!

All Gites have own corner of L'Elzet. You can of course have your privacy, but it's great to have the choice of social evenings, perhaps playing boules or a laugh or two over good wine.

We have a small menagerie of farm animals and gorgeous donkeys the children adore. Many love to take one of our donkeys for a walk with your picnic, or down to the village and pick up the Stevenson trail.

Historic SAINT JEAN DU GARD (13km) is a small market town and has a tourist centre, fabulous market days often with entertainment, Cevenol museum; steam train to the Bambouzerie, & nearby ancient town of Anduze, with its street cafes, restaurant and bars.

The CEVENNES NATIONAL PARK is magical and there are various festivals here throughout the seasons. - Spring or Autumnal colours of November are especially beautiful. It is the most important UNESCO protected BIOSPHERE in all of Europe - with mountains, gorges, crystal clear rivers, caves, a wealth of flora & fauna, close to walks & the Stevenson Trail GR70. & ancient villages. .
