This beautifully restored traditional 2 bedroomed cottage has a large beamed living room with well equipped kitchen/dining area, bathroom with bath/shower and a cosy wood burning stove making it ideal in every season. BBQ in the walled garden or relax on the wisteria clad terrace.
The cottage is in the peaceful hamlet of La Lauressie which is on a quiet country lane. Set above the Aveyron Gorge among medieval hilltop villages in the heart of wonderful walking and cycling country. Come and explore this beautiful unspoiled region where birds, butterflies and wildflowers abound. Laguepie, just 2Km down the lane, is a friendly village with two rivers. A pontoon for river bathing is set onto the river Viaur in a lovely setting below the ruined castle which is beautifully floodlit at night. The village campsite has a cafe, trampoline, plunge pool with water slide and sand playing for younger children with no entry fees. Other leisure activity close by includes canoeing and kayaking on the river Aveyron from several points, horse-riding, tennis and fishing. Mountain biking and road cycling are very popular sports in the area. There are indoor and outdoor pools and for older children an adventure playground (Cap Decouverte) within an easy drive. Laguepie is close to the Lot and Tarn valleys with their spectacular gorges and the Gaillac wine region. There are several medieval villages (bastides) nearby including Najac and Cordes-sur-Ciel. Larger towns include Albi, Villefranche- de- Rouergue, Montauban, and Cahors. The nearest airports are Toulouse and Rodez.
