Built from the old stone barn in sleepy hamlet
La Grange forms part of an old farmhouse in the tiny hamlet of Le Tel.Together with the next door gite 'Les Chataignes' It shares the owners' delightful garden and 10m x 5m pool with Roman steps. The views from the garden stretch for many miles towards the Montagne Noire to the south and right across the Viaur alley to the Aveyron in the east. When the visibility is perfect the distant now capped Pyrenees can even be seen from the top of the village.
The Grange has a double bedded and a twin bedroom on the first floor. The ground floor provides a comfortable sitting area with satellite English and French TV/DVD. The well equipped kitchen has an oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and washing machine. The bathroom has a washbasin, wc and walk-in shower. The private outside dining area has its own barbecue. All bed linen and towels, including pool towels are included.
There are two golf courses in Albi in addition to the world famous brick built mediaeval cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec Exhibition. The ancient bastide town of Cordes sur Ciel is a short drive away and the bustling Friday morning market in Carmaux is another 'must visit'.
The closest town is Mirandol Bourgnounac located about 7 kms away. You will find all the essential amenities. There is a mini supermarket, hotel and restaurant, pharmacy, bar, filling station, doctors, surgery, newsagent and even a tourist information office! Just down the hill on the banks of the river Viaur there is a delightful picnic spot where the river is nearly deep enough to swim as well as paddle
