18th century house sleeps 4 +kids,exceptional views

Perched above the vineyards of Cairanne, our elegant townhouse sleeps 4 guests in two double bedrooms. The larger double bedroom has ensuite bathroom, and there is a separate shower room with wc for the second bedroom. Kids bunk beds in room off the larger bedroom, plus a sofabed on the mezzanine.
The house has very comfortable living space with large well equipped kitchen area, dining and sitting area. There is a terrace a few steps away with fantastic views and sunsets for eating or lounging. Equipped with electric radiators throughout, TV, dvd, cd, washing machine, garage.

Situated within the old walls of Cairanne village, you can walk down to the local shops, tabac, grocer, baker and delightful winebar/restaurant. 3.5km Ste Cecile les Vignes which has more bars, restaurants and an excellent Saturday market. 25 mins Orange, 15mins Vaison la Romaine.

The property is well situated for exploring this delightful area with daily visits to towns such as Arles, Aix, Avignon, Nimes and the coast, all possible. Locally it is ideal for walking, cycling, horseriding, and there are provencal markets in at least one town or village every day. Cairanne is one of the famous Cotes du Rhone wine villages and boasts 21 private vineyards in the village, as well as the local Cave cooperative. There are wine fairs, summer fairs, and festivals in the season, as well as live music and theatre in Orange, Avignon, Vaison and many other towns.

Autumn and winter are very enjoyable with warm temperatures normally until the end of October at least - when the grape harvest takes place, the vines turn red and the area gets ready for truffle hunts, game menus, Christmas fairs and festivals, and plenty of things to occupy you.

Easily reached by plane to Nimes, Marseille, Montpellier or Avignon airports, or TGV to Avignon, and easy car hire at each location - or drive down spending a night or two en route
