Situated in rural landscape dominated by hectares of sunflowers, our cottage is a desirable destination for those preferring a quiet retreat but only 5 minutes drive to the market town of Civray. The property is totally private so there is no one else to consider but yourselves, all the facilities are for your exclusive use.A warm welcome awaits you at Chez Folly we know how important a holiday is. We will have prepared everything for your arrival, made the beds, provided towels, left you a welcome basket. We can do some shopping , book a meal or whatever you need for your arrival. We can supply baby equipment at no additional cost everything is included in the price. Nothing is too much trouble.
Accommodation comprises of a large well equipped family kitchen/diner boasting washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, microwave. Seating for 6 adults around a large kitchen table. Plenty of crockery, utensils for even the most adventurous chef.
Comfortably furnished lounge with English/French channels, DVD, VCR, CD players:, books, DVD's videos and CD's to entertain you as well as games. A playroom has addtional toys and games to occupy our younger guests and here are 2 additional single beds. There is a downstairs shower room with wash basin and toilet.
Upstairs is 1 double and 2 twin bedded rooms and a shower room with shower, washbasin and toilet, plus a baby bath, heated towel rail. All the beds are made up with fitted sheet, top sheet and duvet with 2 pillows per bed. The bedrooms are furnished with wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair, mirror, heater and fan.
There is parking for 3 cars plus a garage and a covered area to provide welcome shade. The drive is gravel and suitable for you to play boules on.
Large garden mostly grass and well established trees and shrubs. Here you can play ball games incuding badmington. At the far end of the garden there is a field for you to exercise the dog or the children.
There is terrace area around the house with a covered seating area with large garden table, chairs and barbecue. There is plenty of space here to have a game of table tennis.
The swimming pool is surrounded by paving and is enclosed with approved fencing and self locking gate. The pool is 5mx10m gently sloping from 1 m to a max of 2m at the deep end. There are sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool.
Chez Folly is well placed to explore attractions of Poitou-Charentes details of which are found at the cottage or on my website. So bring your family or friends, granny and kids, bikes, and your dog and discover everything that our area can offer.
