Spacious comfortable chalet with open fireplace and views of the Grand Massif.
Chalet La Valentine is set in a perfect location for skiing holidays in the Grand Massif in the winter and activity holidays in the summer.
The chalet is on 3 floors. In the basement is a garage for storage of skis and bikes, a double bedroom, a good sized bunk bed room and luxury bathroom. There is a tumbler dryer and washing machine in the basement and ladder stairs lead to the first floor.
On the first floor is a large living area with table to seat 10, fireplace and underfloor heating. There is room to seat 7 to 8 adults in the lounge area with bean bags for children. The separate kitchen is well equipped. There is a raclette and fondue set. The second bathroom with separate toilet is on this floor.
Off the mezzanine on the top floor is one large family room with double bed and 2 singles, and a separate twin room.
There is one cot, one high chair, 2 stair gates, and 2 cot sides for young children sleeping in a bed; all available in the chalet for guests with small children. The fully insulated ski chalet is very warm in winter with electric heating in every room. There is broad band internet access available at the chalet (if you need to keep in contact with work or need access to your emails bring your laptop), satellite television and a phone to take incoming calls and make local and emergency calls.
The garden is fully enclosed. There is equipment for badminton and tennis at the chalet for use by the guests.
The chalet is on the sunny side of the valley, but close enough to the slopes for easy access to the lifts. Cross country skiing is practically at the chalet door. The chalet is 100 metres from the ski bus stop, 1 km from the Morillon télécabine and 3km from both of the Samoëns télécabines, which all connect into the vast Grand Massif with 265km of pistes, the third largest ski area in France.
In the summer the chalet is in the centre of all the local activities. It is not in an ideal location for a quiet retreat as the local leisure park, swimming lake, mini-golf, zip wire, pony riding, tennis and volley ball courts are only 250 metres from the chalet gates, across the road and a quick walk along the river. Shops, restaurants, the post office and bakery are all within a 2 minute walk, Morillon village centre is only 10 minutes away.
There are golf courses at Annecy (one golf course on the lake and one in the hills above), Les Gets and Flaine, all just a short drive away. You can play on the championship golf course at Evian golf club on the shores of Lake Geneva.
As well as the paragliding, white water rafting, rock climbing, and pot holing, there are beautiful places to visit such as Annecy nearby.
Please note the prices indicated are for 10 staying. There are reductions for fewer people staying averaging at about £50 to £100 for each person less than 10 down to a minimum price for 6 in the ski season.
