Our lovely Farmhouse has all the modern amenities and kept the authenticity.
Our large Farmhouse has been carefully restored by local builders, leaving beautiful exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace and an ancient stone sink. We have spectacular views of fields, woods and rolling countryside all round, With the Lot valley, the medieval towns of Cahors with its winding River Lot and plentiful wine, Moissac and its Abbey and cloisters and weekend market, Agen and its world famous prunes and lovely shops and boutiques all close by.
Bergerac Airport and the A62 or A20 giving easy access from northern ports and the UK.
There is plenty to explore for everyone - restaurants large and small cheap or gastronomical, shops from supermarkets to small individuals, Chateaux some with wine tasting, Bastide towns Penne and Tournon d'Agenais, Pujols and Lauzerte close by and Sarlat and its castle, St Cirq Lapopie and Rocamadour, each looking as though they will fall off their rock foundations any summer a bit further afield. There is tennis, golf, water sports, horse-riding all easily get at able and 2 large leisure areas with sand, swimming, childrens play areas and restaurants for those wanting something a bit different.
The coasts of the mediteranean and the Atlantic are a possible days visit - we go fairly often.
Upstairs our 2 master bedrooms have beams aplenty, ensuite bathrooms with shower, basin and toilet, 2 more double bedrooms share a large bathroom with shower, 2 basins and toilet, and the mezzanine has a bedsettee for occasional use and space for reading, relaxation and contemplation.
The 5th double bedroom is downstairs for easy access for the older members of your party and it has ensuite bathroom with basin shower and toilet., There is an airy galleried hallway and sitting area, cloakroom with toilet and basin for easy use from the garden and pool, and through the old stone archway are the dining area and the open kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, new cooker, microwave, toaster, loads of cupboards and work surface. TV, table tennis and boules provide indoor or outdoor entertainment and there is a BBQ in the garden.
Double doors open to completely enclosed garden with tables and chairs for eating outside, shaded by trees and parasols. There are loungers and more parasols for lazy time spent by the totally fenced and secure saltwater pool, which we look after for you.
We have tried to make haven for you to enjoy your holiday, whether it is rest and relaxation or history and excercise in this lovely area of France. We look forward to welcoming you to our "coin de paradise" and sharing our good fortune.
